That's Mister Old Fart to you!

Hi Everyone

Look at me doing a Mid-week post - Can't promise that it will happen too often! It's mean to be the hottest day of the year today (we'll see!) - although I work in an air-conditioned office so still have to go to work dressed for winter lol!

Today is our friend's 60th birthday and I thought that Gus from Bugaboo Stamps would make a good image to use. I'm also making a gift card for his present (this will follow at the weekend after his party). So here's the card...................

What do you think - I hope you all like it!

Watch out for my next post at the weekend - will the nice weather manage to last that long?????

See you all again soon!

Father's Day Part Two

Hello Me again!

Sad I know, but I always make a card for Brent from Woodi & Saren - last year he had James Bond and this year I found an appropiate Teddy Bo image as they do just 'love their dad' lol!

Here it is

Now they say that Blue and Green should never be seen but I quite like this colour combo - what do you think??

Hopefully Brent likes this and his book and chocolate that the girls spent their 'pocket money' on!

See you again soon hopefully - off to do parent visiting today.

I've used the lovely Teddy Bo again this time - the blue one is for my dad and the gardening themed one is for Brent's dad.

Crafty Friends Challenge No 2 - Bingo!

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend so far. We popped to the beach this afternoon as it is a nice bright sunny day, but it was so windy it was freezing. Felt more like October rather than June! We did see tons of kitesurfers though - they must be mad! Woodi and Saren had a nice time though - Woodi does love the beach, it's her most favourite place to go.

Brent and I have also been engaged for 22 years today - where did that time go!

Anyway, back to the important Crafty stuff and today sees the start of Challenge No 2 at the newly reformed Crafty Friends Challenge Blog (Previously the Forever Friends Challenge Blog) and as I am in Team 2 this is my first challenge. The theme this time is Bingo! and here is the Bingo card that we have used:-

and this challenge is sponsored by:-

Commissioned 30th Wedding Anniversary (Pearl) card

Hello Everyone!

How the devil are you? I'm so sorry I've not been here for a while but I've not had a chance to pop into Crafty Corner lately - mainly due to having to exercise (weight loss is still going OK!), holibobs over Bank Holiday and the 'mo-jo' seemed to have a disappeared for a while.

However, a friend of mine asked me to make a 30th Wedding Anniversary card for her Mum from her Dad - pearl is theme for this anniversary. The only thing I had to include was the name so I opted for using Teddy Bo & Bea as I've not made one of these for a while and here it is:-

Thought I would use pink and blue as a theme as these are the main colours in the 'pearl'escent card.

What do you think? - Mojo still intact? I must admit I have quite enjoyed making this over the last few days. Hopefully my friend's Mum & Dad will both like it as well. I even managed to finish of one of three Father's Day cards I need to make - watch this space for that one.

Have a good weekend everyone - fingers crossed the weather forecast is right and we can have a couple of BBQ's!

See you soon (hopefully!)

Happy BIrthday to my Crafty Buddy Karen

Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a lovely weekend - back to work now though :0(. I was home alone on Saturday as Brent had to go into work so after my 54 lengths of the swimming pool I spent the rest of the day in Crafty Corner - how nice! Fingers crossed that my efforts in the pool help me lose a bit of weight for weigh in at Slimming World on Tuesday!

It was my Crafty Buddy Karen's birthday yesterday and I am sorry to say that I didn't manage to get her birthday card to her on time - how rude! I did give her a card to open so that she had something (as well as her pressie of course!) but the card was awful! So awful that it looked like a two year old had made it, so I've made it up to her with her proper card that I've given her today - I hope she likes it! And here it is:-

And she does know too much - especially how much I spend on crafting goodies!!

For the inside of the card I used the new Fabric paper from the Forever Friends Kraft range - beware the edges do fray a bit......

Here is a close up of the image:-

However, this is the second attempt at colouring - my first is below. The colouring was fine - in fact I think the blonde/light hair is actually better on this first attempt, but the greeting stamp fell off of the block and so I couldn't use it - I did swear a bit!!

Now I know why I use more digi-stamps than normal stamps!

I hope you all like the card too!

Fingers crossed for Weigh-in day on Tuesday and hopefully I'll be able to blog some more cards soon!

Bye for now and of course Happy Birthday Karen!
