Carved my pumpkins today - one I really like, the other I'm not so sure on! Wizards hat at the ready to put outside after work tomorrow and Woodi & Saren had a dress rehersal. Just need to put the broomstick on charge!!!
31/10/11 - Pumpkins had the desired effect (as well as Saren in her devil outfit). One parent even took a photo of them!

Commission Christmas Card 5 - Red & Green Themed
After spending a crafty lunchtime at work today colouring some images thought I'd better crack on with the remaining 5 commissioned cards I've been asked to make. The last 5 have to have a Christmas Tree on them so here is the first one. Used green card, red mirror card and a green card with red embossed pattern, green ribbon a few gems and a red/gold peel off - Tree is embossed using the free embossing folder from an earlier DoCrafts magazine.

Woodland Folk Stepper Card for a new job
Made this card tonight for a work colleague that has just got a promotion - back to working on Christmas Cards from tomorrow. Thinking of taking some stamped images to work to colour at lunchtimes for the rest of the week. Its half term and the town centre in Maidstone was crammed with annoying teenagers!
26/10/11 - had a phone call today to say thanks for the card and how impressed they were!

Commissioned Christmas Card number 4
Commissioned Christmas Card number 4 for an 8 year old girl. Had to rethink my colours as I'd already used the piece of backing paper I wanted to use. This is made using a digistamp from Lillyboo coloured with water colour pencils. Daisy & Dandelion backing papers and others from my stash, 2 different ribbons and some peel offs. Also had a successful crafty shopping trip this weekend so now I can make a start on the remaining 5 Christmas Tree cards I've been asked to make.

Hurray! We all made it to the weekend - end of another long week at work!. Following my last blog I went to make another of my commissioned cards tonight and realised that I'd already used the backing paper I'd planed on! Oh well never mind, re-printed the Lillyboo digistamp I'm using and have used a different colour scheme! Almost finished putting it together, just a few accessories to add - now just need to convince Brent that we need to go to a craft shop tomorrow so that I can make a start on the commissioned christmas tree cards! Photos to follow once I've finished the card over the weekend (and maybe start on the remaining 5!)

I have been asked to make a total of 9 cards this year with the following subjects:- 2 male cards with either a glass of beer or cider on the front, one for a 7 year old boy, one for an 8 year old girl and 5 with Christmas Trees on them. All of which have specific messages to go inside which I'll print. So far I've made the 2 male cards and the one for the boy. Hope you like them - the others will follow soon..........

I've been commissioned to make 9 Christmas Cards for an ex-work colleague - have sorted out what I'm going to do for some of them but 5 of them have to include a Christmas Tree. Easy you would think but so many things to choose from, looking for inspiration from the internet! However, most of tonight I have been updating my blog. Must get a wriggle on though, Christmas is creeping up on us fast!

Encaustic art
Have dabbled a bit with this but quite like the results. Unfortunately, space is an issue and when you use this you do need a bit. Must try it again some day, but here are the examples I've done so far......
Forever Friends
Another classic set to use with endless options. Did a whole selection of Christmas cards forlast year 2010 (see seperate post) but I've also made these cards. Love making the easel cards, they are easy to make and look quite quite good! Hopefully the people I send them too just know how they are meant to stand up!
Me to You 'Tatty Teddy' Cards
So pleased that card making kits have been made in this range. Here are a few of the cards I've made - a couple of Anniversary Easel cards and also so birthday cards. I really like this range, I'm looking forward to getting the free gift with the next Docrafts Magazine in November of the Tatty Teddy stamps so must invest in the Winter Wonderland paperpack so that I can make some more Christmas Cards for this year!
