Have fun everyone xx

Superhero Birthday Card

Made this card this evening for my friend's little boy who is going to be 5 in January. Got him some 'Superhero' pressies for Christmas and his birthday so thought this card would fit in with the theme really well!

Used a WOJ Digi-stamp coloured with promarkers and a printed spiderweb paper

Hope Ryan is going to like it!

Last two Christmas cards made today......

An enjoyable last day's holiday for the year....

The weather this morning was a bit on the chilly side, so I kept warm in Crafty Corner and finished the Christmas Cards. Starting from January I am going to make sure I make a couple a month so that I have enough and don't have a made dash this time next year. Hope you like them and Merry Christmas x

So it's December..........

...and how did that happen,

the time has whizzed by and I still have Christmas cards to make!

Still treated myself to an early Christmas Pressie this week - a Forever Friends card kit - so that will keep me busy over the Christmas break!

Made the final one of my commissioned cards and Pat was so pleased with them that she also bought me 2 bunches of pink and yellow roses as an extra Thank You - which were appreciated!

Here is a card I made for one of my work colleagues who loves penguins - hope she likes it...

Must get a wriggle on with this Christmas lark, 2nd December and no present bought as yet - oops!

Christening Cards

It's my Niece's Christening on Sunday, along with her half brother Joshua. Made these two cards, Forever Friends for Lilly and Me to You Tatty Teddy for Joshua. Lilly's card was plan b as unfortunately the topper I ordered from Ebay (Forever Friends Christening Bear) didn't arrive in time. Still think its quite a nice one though. Made with Forever Friends and Dovecraft papers, bazzil card, ribbons, bows, flowers, and gems.

Have now entered Lillys card for the 'Buttons' challenge on Sarah Hurley's challenge blog - here's the link http://www.sarahhurleychallenges.blogspot.com/

Commissioned Money Wallets

After a relaxing long weekend off work its now back to the crafting. Made these two money wallets for my Mum to send to 2 of my cousins in Canada. One had to feature a Snowboarder and one Skier. LOTV Skier stamp used (thanks for the loan Karen!) and a snowboarder digistamp. Both coloured with watercolour pencils - new pens are on order! Also used a printed snowflake paper from a free Crafters Companion CD, mirror card and bazill card

, few ribbons, peel offs, brads and some gems.

Now whats next...... this week I've got to make 2 Christening cards, 2 new home cards and to start on my Forever Friends Design Team card, oh and then Christmas cards, busy busy busy!!

Parachute Jump

Well the commissioned cards are all bagged and tagged and ready for me to take to work tomorrow. Now got the images ready to make the money wallets for my Mum over the weekend (long weekend off of work - yipee!!) - as I'm taking a break from crafting, well for a few hours anyway!!, I thought I'd add this photo.

What an expience! I did the jump on 16 September last year and raised money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - as this is one of the charities we sponsor through work. Between myself and a work colleague, Emily, we raised around £1000! One of the best things I've done so far.

Back to crafting tomorrow :0)

Final Commissioned Christmas Card

Here's the last one of the set - now just need to add the sentiments (already given to me) and then they will be ready to bag and tag. Hopefully I've priced them right!

Next job to work on the money wallets for my mum, a couple of Christening Cards and the then the Forever Friends Design Team challenge, oh and to make so Christmas cards to send - how long to go now?? Not long enough!!

Commissioned Christmas Cards

Managed to make two more tonight, as Brent was home a bit late. Just one more to go for this order, which fingers crossed I should be able to do tomorrow. These 2 again had to featue Christmas Trees. One has been made using the Docrafts embossing folder and the other stamped in silver and embossed. Just need to put the messages inside as requested and then I can produce my invoice. Couldn't do any over the weekend as due to fireworks we had cuddly bugs on our laps, glad its only once a year!

Sunday 6 November 2011

Well what a result........

Well! Who would have thought it - I've had an email to say that I've been picked as a designer for the monthly card making challenge for the Forever Friends blog! Looking forward to getting my first challenge next week!

Friday 4 November 2011

Commissioned Christmas Card 7

Managed to squeeze another one in this evening - was almost two, but ran out of time! This one had to feature a Christmas Tree so I've used this snowflake tree stamp that I've also embossed. Fingers crossed I might be able to get the last 3 done over the weekend (and then I can start on my Mum's request!)

All comments welcome :0)

More Christmas Commissions.....

Just had a call from my Mum asking me to make a couple of money wallets for her to send to 2 of my Canadian cousins - featuring a snowboarder and a skier. They are aged 13 and 12. Off to search the interweb for some digistamps! Think my long weekend off work next weekend is being spent crafting(sorry Brent!) !!

Tuesday 1 November 2011

It's November...................

....And hasn't that come round ever so quickly! Now I really must concentrate on making Christmas Cards - still 5 to go for the ones I've been asked to make. Did colour the digistamp of a Christmas Fireplace tonight whilst catching up on previous episodes of Merlin on V+, so I've made a start! Must now crack on bigtime - think I might have to start taking some to work every day! Also been trying to update my blog tonight....

Carved my pumpkins today - one I really like, the other I'm not so sure on! Wizards hat at the ready to put outside after work tomorrow and Woodi & Saren had a dress rehersal. Just need to put the broomstick on charge!!!
31/10/11 - Pumpkins had the desired effect (as well as Saren in her devil outfit). One parent even took a photo of them!

Commission Christmas Card 5 - Red & Green Themed

After spending a crafty lunchtime at work today colouring some images thought I'd better crack on with the remaining 5 commissioned cards I've been asked to make. The last 5 have to have a Christmas Tree on them so here is the first one. Used green card, red mirror card and a green card with red embossed pattern, green ribbon a few gems and a red/gold peel off - Tree is embossed using the free embossing folder from an earlier DoCrafts magazine.

Woodland Folk Stepper Card for a new job

Made this card tonight for a work colleague that has just got a promotion - back to working on Christmas Cards from tomorrow. Thinking of taking some stamped images to work to colour at lunchtimes for the rest of the week. Its half term and the town centre in Maidstone was crammed with annoying teenagers!

26/10/11 - had a phone call today to say thanks for the card and how impressed they were!

Commissioned Christmas Card number 4

Commissioned Christmas Card number 4 for an 8 year old girl. Had to rethink my colours as I'd already used the piece of backing paper I wanted to use. This is made using a digistamp from Lillyboo coloured with water colour pencils. Daisy & Dandelion backing papers and others from my stash, 2 different ribbons and some peel offs. Also had a successful crafty shopping trip this weekend so now I can make a start on the remaining 5 Christmas Tree cards I've been asked to make.
