Digi Haven Challenge - Use some buttons

Hi Everyone!

Hurrah we have reached the weekend! Been a short week at work for me this week but crikey it feels like a very long one - I'm Pooped!

Anyway on to the Digi Haven challenge and this time it is Use some buttons and it is sponsored by:-

For full details on the prizes on offer and to join in the challenge pop over to the Digi Haven Blogspot.

I decided to use the Mermiad image and here is my card:-

The photo doesn't really show its true colour - in real life it is more green than blue but I hope you like the look of it anyway! Her tail is also covered with stickles (as are her flowers) but the camera doesn't really pick this up either. Think I might try and get another photo tomorrow in the daylight!

Enjoy the weekend everyone - I need to do the food shopping online and Woodi also has a vet's follow up appointment tomorrow, oh and not forgetting I'm off for a swim in the morning - busy busy busy!!

Don't forget to come and join in our challenge at Digi Haven.

See you soon

Wedding Congratulations!

Hello Everyone

Hope you all had a lovely weekend - we had a busy one as it was my brother's wedding yesterday at Lympne Castle near Hythe in Kent. Here are a few photos from the day:-

Anyway back to the crafting and of course I had to make a card for the happy couple - in fact I actually made two as I made them a gift card as well for the money we gave them as their present. So first of all here is the gift card:-

and here is Paul & Annie's wedding card (and the box I made for it)

You can't really tell from the photo but the shoes have glossy accents on them and the dress underskirt and roses in the bouquet and headress all have added Stickles Glitter on them.

For some reason it took me ages to make the wedding card - I didn't quite come together quite as easily as I thought it would! And on both cards I've used images from Lilie of the Valley (quite apt as Paul's daughter is called Lilly!!)

I hope they like them both and I hope you like them too!

As I am actually on holiday today I'm off for a swim and then I'm spending the rest of the day in Crafty Corner.

Catch up with you all soon

Teddy Bo - Where's the party??

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well. Had a nice surprise at Slimming World this week - I've now lost 1 1/2 stone and 10% of my body weight, all going in the right direction! I now have a new focus to lose some more weight as we received a party invite for our friend's 60th birthday in June and so I had to make a card to RSVP. And here it is:-

I found this Teddy Bo image called Where's The Party which I thought was quite apt and I've teamed it up with the new Forever Friends Kraft papers and accessories.

I hope Phil likes it - at least I've got a little while to plan his birthday card (and to lose a bit more weight for a new outfit!!).

Catch up with you again soon.

Forever Friends Fortnightly Challenge No 59 - Use Punches and Dies

Hello Everyone

Hope you are well. Yesterday was the last day of our Easter Holiday (although I did have to go in to work for 2 1/2 days). We had a lovely time in the New Forest although it could have done with being a lot warmer and just a shame that all the scenery looked brown as no leaves/greenery has sprouted yet! At least the caravan was warm - the park was lovely and we would like to go back to that area again.

Anyway, on with the important stuff.... Today sees the start of the new fortnightly challenge at Forever Friends and the theme this time is to use punches and dies and this challenge is sponsored by:-

For more details on our sponsors and for info on the prizes on offer pop over to the Forever Friends Challenge Blog.

I've not tried thsi technique before, and once I had figured out which way the printer wanted to print I think my card came out OK. I've used the Chloe with daffodils image from Pink Gem Designs.

I hope that you can see that I have paper pieced her top and her boots!

I've also made a FF card for this challenge to wish you all a very 'Hoppy Easter':-

Can decoupage be classed as paper piecing?? I hope so!

Well, I hope that you don't all feel poorly from eating too many Easter eggs and I hope that we don't have frostbite from spending the weekend in the caravan!

I look forward to seeing all your comments and don't forget to enter the challenge at Forever Friends.

Catch up soon!
