Hello Everyone!
Have you all melted yet?? - it certainly is very warm here at the mo - and I don't wish to complain but it is a bit too hot for me to sit out in it! However, we are off on our summer holiday on Saturday so we would like this nice sunny weather to last but it could cool down a smidge- especially as we will have the dogs with us. Don't think going for long walks in 30 degree heat is ideal from them!
But, on to the crafting and it's one of my best friend's birthday today so an ideal opportunity to us the Best Friends SWALK stamp from Crafters Companion again. I also used the Forever Friends Kraft Notes paper pad which I really like at the mo. Here's the card:-
Rather than putting the sentiment on the front I thought I'd put it on the inside. What do you think?? I hope you like it, and I hope Ann does too! Personally I think I have done a bit better with the hair on this one.
As we are on holiday for a week I've got to make another 3 cards this week - not quite sure how I'm going to fit that in as well as packing, but I'll give it a good try!!
See you again soon
Lisa xx

Happy BIrthday to my Crafty Buddy Karen
Hi Everyone
Hope you all had a lovely weekend - back to work now though :0(. I was home alone on Saturday as Brent had to go into work so after my 54 lengths of the swimming pool I spent the rest of the day in Crafty Corner - how nice! Fingers crossed that my efforts in the pool help me lose a bit of weight for weigh in at Slimming World on Tuesday!
It was my Crafty Buddy Karen's birthday yesterday and I am sorry to say that I didn't manage to get her birthday card to her on time - how rude! I did give her a card to open so that she had something (as well as her pressie of course!) but the card was awful! So awful that it looked like a two year old had made it, so I've made it up to her with her proper card that I've given her today - I hope she likes it! And here it is:-

And she does know too much - especially how much I spend on crafting goodies!!
For the inside of the card I used the new Fabric paper from the Forever Friends Kraft range - beware the edges do fray a bit......
Here is a close up of the image:-
However, this is the second attempt at colouring - my first is below. The colouring was fine - in fact I think the blonde/light hair is actually better on this first attempt, but the greeting stamp fell off of the block and so I couldn't use it - I did swear a bit!!
Now I know why I use more digi-stamps than normal stamps!
I hope you all like the card too!
Fingers crossed for Weigh-in day on Tuesday and hopefully I'll be able to blog some more cards soon!
Bye for now and of course Happy Birthday Karen!

Crafter's Companion SWALK 'I do' Wedding Card
My Niece's mum is getting married today and so I thought I would make her a card for the big day. I did manage to get a message to her sister on Facebook to check out the colour scheme for the day so that my card would fit in. Here it is......
I've used the 'I do' stamp from Crafter's Companion - I've used this stamp a few times this year so I need to invest in a new wedding one, especially as my Brother is getting married next year.
I hope you like it (and I hope Vicky and Paul like it too!)

Second Commissioned Wedding Card
Hello Everyone - We've finally made it to Friday night and hurrah its an extra long Bank Holiday weekend! Just a shame that the weather forecast is a bit rubbish - but no change there for a bank holiday.
I've not had to make any wedding cards for years and then I get asked to make two in a matter of weeks. Here is the second one I've made using the I do SWALK stamp from Crafters Companion. I've coloured this with Spectrum Noir and Promarker pens and I've also added glossy accents and stickles. Backing card is from stash and the glittered swirl paper is from Best Creations. Ribbons are from our local cake making shop and the flowers are from Wild Orchid and Oyster Stamps. Pearls are from stash. Dies are from X-cut. This time I decided that I would put the greeting on the inside - along with 2 heart gems.
Now with a rubbish weather forescast how much crafting can I fit in this weekend??!!
Enjoy the Jubilee celebrations

Commissioned Wedding Card - SWALK 'I do'
This is the first wedding card I have made for ages and took me ages to try and find the right image and theme. I decided to use the 'I Do' SWALK stamp from Crafters Companion. After stamping about 8 images I finally got one that I could use that didn't have 'extra' black smudges! I've coloured this with Spectrum Noir pens and used the Spellbinders die for the main image. The pink card is bazzill from stash and the embossed paper is from Best Creations. Ribbons are from stash as well as the gems pearls, bow amd the 4 gem hearts that I've put on the inside. I've also added some stickles to the flowers (which are from Wild Orchid), the confetti part of the stamp and also the brides dress.
Also going to use this stamp for another card I need to make for later in the year (luckily has a different colour scheme!)
Hope you like it, all comments are welcome.

Happy Birthday Karen - part 2!
Hi Again!
What a nice day today - bit chilly in the shade but at least it hasn't rained! And for the first time since the Heron's death attack on our fishpond a few weeks ago, we have finally seen the rest of our fish. We were beginning to think the heron had had them all!
Here is the gift card I made for Karen for her voucher from the Glitter Pot - which I know she will enjoy spending!
I've made this using bazzill card, papers from the Me to You Spring Chic paper pack. Lace is from Wild Orchid and the bow, flowers and gems are from stash. The SWALK stamp I've coloured with Spectrum Noir and Promarker pens.
I'm glad Karen liked it, but then it does tick all her boxes - pink, lace, bows and flowers!
Happy Birthday (again!) Karen
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Commissioned Mothers Day Card
An old friend from school has recently got in contact with me through Facebook and has asked me to make a few cards for her. The first one I've done is this one for Mother's Day. I didn't want to overcrowd the front of the card so inside the greeting is with love on Mothering Sunday.
The Swalk image is coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens and I've added Icicle Stickles and Glossy Accents. Papers are from the Me to You Spring Chic pack, ribbon and gems from stash. Die is from Spellbinders.
