sorry I've not been here for a while! Here is a card I made recently for one of my friends who has moved to her new home. I used the digi-stamp from Saturated Canary:-

Thinking of good friends past and present

Hi again

Sad and reflective day today - it's 21 years ago today that my best friend's son was killed by a speeding driver - he was only 15. I can't believe were the time has gone! I never forget this day and every year without fail I always make my friends a card just to let them know that we are always thinking about them. This year I found this cute image from Saturated Canary with a nice heart bubble.....

I tried pink again - that's two cards in a week!

I had a message from my friend to say that she loved it, I hope you do too!

Look at me three posts in one day - I promise this is my last!

As I mentioned on my last post - today is my friend Debbie's birthday today (as well as her wedding anniversary). Debbie happened to mention when we were on a shopping trip a few weeks ago that they are going camping in the school holidays and I then found this perfect image from Saturated Canary:-

I wonder if Deb will get to toast some marshmallows lol!

Happy Birthday - Saturated Canary Sara

Hi all

Hope you are all well - melted yet in this heatwave??!! Today is meant to be the hottest day of the year and is going to end with a bang. If it does I just hope it doesn't decide to do it when I'm on the way to the pool on Saturday morning!

Anyway back to the crafting and today is one of my best friends birthday and so of course I had to make her a lovely card. Not made one using an SC image for a while and I found this new one Sara so I thought I'd give it a try. Here is the card - what do you think??

I used the colour scheme to fit in with my favourite paperpad - Forever Friends Kraft Notes.

I'm hoping Ann likes it too - and watch this space in the next week for Ann's 40th (ruby) wedding anniversary card, her daughter Debbie's birthday card and also Debbie and her Husband Scott's Anniversary card - and they are all on the same day!

Saturated Canary - Jules

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all well been up to much crafting - I haven't really, just realised that Father's Day is just round the corner I better get a wriggle on!

Anyway on with today's card and it is for one of my friend's at my Slimming World group. I know that she has a cat so I thought I would use the Jules image from Saturated Canary.

Here she is - what do you think?

I quite like this colour combo! I also added some Glossy Accents to her shoes bit you can't really tell this from this image.

Best Friend Birthday

Me again, today is one of my best friend's (and work colleague) birthday - Karen and of course I had to make her a lovely card.

By chance Saturated Canary launched their Best Friend Selfie digi-stamp a few weeks ago and what perfect timing, I bought it straight away!

New Home Card

Hello Everyone

Hope you are all well....What's happened to the weather?? Last weekend it was Spring and now we're back to Winter again! Oh well fingers crossed it will warm up again soon!

The Road to a Friend's House is Never Long

Hello Again

Sad day today as it sees the anniversary of my friend losing her son in a car accident. I always make sure that I send her a card on this day just so that she knows we are thinking of them all. We don't see each other as much as we should but when we do things are just like we saw each other yesterday! I've used the Sweet Cottage image from Saturated Canary and the greeting - which seems quite appropriate - is a freebie from Birds Cards. Here it is:-

New Home Card - Saturated Canary

Hello everyone

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. We've spent most of ours indoors with two upset doggies on our laps - neither of them are very impressed with the fireworks going off around here at the mo, especially Saren! Only a few more days to go!!

Anyway on to the important stuff and a friend of mine is moving into a new flat on Tuesday and so of course I had to make a card. I'm going to the first Cute Cottage Crafts day on Saturday and I have a bit of inside info (as Karen is my buddy!) that one of the projects we are doing involves pink. I'm not very good at using pink on cards so I thought I'd have a bit of a practice. I've used one of the new houses that have been launched on Saturated Canary, which are dead cute! I've used the Sweet Fairy Tower:-

 

What do you think?? I'm quite liking this pink and brown combo.

Songbird Challenge #27 Dancing Queen

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are all well - today sees the start of the new challenge at the Songbird Challenge blog and it is my first for this Design Team. Before I get on to the card I've made let me explain how Songbird works. Every challenge has a theme which is based around a song title or lyrics from a song.

My crafty buddy Karen has given me the additional challenge of trying to get in as many A-ha or Adam Ant songs as I can in these challenges (as they are two of by all time favourites)! However not for this challenge - as our theme this time is ........'Dancing Queen' and it is sponsored by:-

Another September birthday...............

Hi Everyone

Firstly, here's an update from my last post on my birthday...... We did manage to go on a caravan adventure for my birthday, although not as cheap as I wanted it to be. We spent the weekend down at Hayling Island near Portsmouth and even went over to the Isle of Wight for the day. I put on 1/2lb at weigh in at Slimming World the following Tuesday but hey I had a good weekend and birthday and its all back on track now.

As the title suggests to this post there is another September birthday and this time it is my Mum's birthday. I decided to have a break from bears and animals this time so I went with an image from Saturated Canary (also helped by the fact that they had a sale recently!). This is Sabrina.

 

Yet again I've used my paperpad of the moment - only a few pages left of it now though! Hopefully my Mum will like it - and I hope you do too!

Socks Fairy - Saturated Canary

Hi Everyone

Hope you've all enjoyed the weekend - ours was pretty quiet but Brent did decide to buy himself a push-bike. We'll see how long that idea lasts I'm sure it won't be long, I given him two months and if its not used them I'm selling it!

Anyway on to the crafting for today.............

As the football was on on Friday night I managed to fit in some colouring and I finished this card off today. Not made it for any reason in particular bit just because I wanted to - I've not coloured a Saturated Canary image for a while, and for today's card I've used one of their new images  - Socks Fairy.

Hurrah! At last we've reached the weekend - and would you believe I've managed to make a pink card,  I know, I don't know what happened!

I've used the Saturated Canary Jules image and used a pink and green theme - as I found a pink and green striped paper. So as I don't normally do pink what do you think???

And another miracle I've managed to use three papers as well - Karen I'm learning!!

Merry Christmas Molly

Well we've reached December! Managed to make Brent agree to buying a real tree today and have decorated it - wasn't without its drama though, bought the tree, got the decs out of the loft and then realised that the tree stand broke a couple of years ago so we had nothing to put the tree in! Sunday trading laws mean that most shops shut at 4pm ona sunday but on checking on line I found that the Range is open 11 - 5 and not 10 - 4. But I only found this out at 4.45 - luckily we are not far from the range (and with a little bit of speeding in our little Alfa Romeo!) we managed to get to the range with a few minutes to spare and hurrah we have a decorated tree in place! Only 'downside' as this took up loads of time I didn't have time to cook a roast, shame we had to have pizza instead!

Now back to the important crafty stuff!

Here is the card I made for my crafty buddy Karen and I tried to make it in her style as much as possible! I managed to use 3 patterened papers (I struggle with this quite often), plus it has flowers, ribbon and corners - just not pink or Tilda (Which are her fav's!) - Still hope you like it Karen!

Crafty Corner Day part 2.....

Well, it's been a lovely day (not the weather!) being in Crafty Corner. Shame I've got to go back to work tomorrow. Still I have got another day off in a couple of weeks time - could be a repeat performance!

Looks like I have Karen to blame for this one as I seem to have caught the Saturated Canary bug!

The best way to spend a day off.....

is being in Crafty Corner! And I must admit I did have a long lay-in this morning too - must have needed it!

Anyway, here is the first creation of the day from Crafty Corner and I've used another Saturated Canary image - this time its Butterfly Princess. I must say that Crafty Corner is now much improved now that I have a new stereo in there!

Fifty shades of Grey........Saturated Canary Grey Tie

Well all us ladies have all read the books - I finished all 3 in two weeks! Very enjoyable! Just hope that no-one was reading it over my shoulder on the Kindle while I was on the train.

Some of the girls at work are still reading the trilogy and I made this card for a colleague's birthday who has just finished reading the last book.

Now we just wait for the film and find out who is going to play Christian Grey!
